Sarang Panchal, Ex-MD Nielsen Acquires Stake in MRSS India

MUMBAI, India: Sarang Panchal has been appointed Chief Executive Officer at MRSS India. He would be spearheading MRSS India, the Indian arm of Majestic MRSS, Asia's largest full service, independent Market Research Institute. Panchal, who was previously the chief mentor of the company, has also taken a significant equity stake in MRSS India.
Mr. Panchal brings two decades of leading market research in companies like P&G, Dun & Bradstreet and later, The Nielsen Company where he was the Managing Director, Asia Pacific of the Custom Research business. The other key positions that Mr. Panchal has held are MRSI Managing Committee - Member, FICCI Brand Protection Committee - Member and Marker Research Society, London - Associate Member. 

Panchal has worked extensively on new product research, media and advertising research and customer satisfaction / loyalty research. Some of his pioneering projects include launching a volumetric sales forecasting system, and India's first study on counterfeit and pass-off brands. He has also been very closely associated with media measurement research currencies in the print and television space. Further, besides teaching in premier educational institutions, he has presented several papers in forums including the MRSI seminars and FICCI / CII conferences.
