The competition, first launched in 2010, aims to reach out to a wide network of Indian and global business schools with the objective of building a repository of high-quality, internationally benchmarked cases about Indian businesses. The cases are judged by a panel of internationally-acclaimed subject experts and top cases from this competition are published as co-branded ISB-Ivey cases. The published cases are then marketed and distributed to a global audience of business schools through Ivey and Harvard Publishing (Harvard University, USA) - the two largest sources of business cases in the world.

Prof Ariff Kachra from Richard Ivey School of Business, Canada conducted the first session of the event, Case Writing Webinar on April 17, 2013. This webinar was also conducted online using the WizIQ virtual classroom that enabled competitors from all over the world to participate by logging-in from their personal computers. The webinar proved to be highly beneficial for the audience who were seeking guidance on the various aspects of writing great case studies on Indian businesses.

Meena Saxena, Sr. Associate Director, CTLC, ISB said about WizIQ, "Good technical support throughout the webinar. The user interface is easily understandable and very interactive."
