The bi-annual conference, held May 24-27, in Monterey, Calif., will include a 4-hour short course, more than 26 platform presentations and a number of poster presentations from ARCADIS and Malcolm Pirnie experts. The team of environmental remediation experts will shed light on a variety of topics from groundwater cleanup, bioremediation and biostimulation approaches, vapor intrusion sampling and assessment, environmental impact to biofuels, site closure and exit strategies to using an experimental demolition enclosure, and green and sustainable remediation.

"The quality and quantity of our presentations represent the depth of ARCADIS' expertise in the remediation arena and also reflects our pre-eminent position as industry leader in in situ remediation," said Suthan Suthersan, Chief Technical Officer, Environmental Division for ARCADIS U.S.

As the convener of the largest remediation conference in the country, Battelle annually brings together more than 1,750 environmental professionals representing universities, government site management and regulatory agencies, and other firms from 32 countries, to address timely remediation concerns. This year's program focuses on the innovative application of existing or new technologies to address the challenges of characterization, treatment, and monitoring of chlorinated and other recalcitrant compounds in various environmental media.
