The Delhi government on Thursday released two months' pension of retired employees of the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), an official said.

A fund of Rs.29.64 crore has been released for paying pensions of May and June, the official said.

The pension of over 12,000 retired employees was not being paid for the last two months by the Delhi government.

The retired DTC employees had staged protests in this connection.

Earlier this month, the National Human Rights Commission issued notice to the Delhi government over the issue.
