The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Algeria have held talks to explore new ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas like industry, investment and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The discussions were held Sunday between UAE's economy minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri and the visiting Algerian Minister for Industry, SMEs and Investment Promotion, Cherif Rahmani.

Both sides also explored the possibility of forging joint partnerships and investment ventures in pharmaceuticals, vehicles, auto spare parts, and renewable energy.
