In a brief interaction with SME Times, Vishwanath Jetithor of National Resistors shares the company’s growth from a small unit to an advanced manufacturer with global reach. He highlights strong focus on quality, customization, and R&D, with plans to expand further through new technologies and international markets.

1. Since starting in 2004, how has National Resistors grown and changed in terms of technology and production capacity?

Since our establishment in 2004, National Resistors has undergone significant transformation, evolving from a modest manufacturing unit into a well-recognized name in the industrial resistor industry. Initially operating with limited resources and manual processes, we have progressively invested in advanced machinery, automation systems, and precision-based production technologies. This has enabled us to enhance both efficiency and output quality.

Over the years, our production capacity has expanded substantially to cater to increasing demand from sectors such as power generation, heavy electricals, railways, and industrial automation. We have also strengthened our engineering capabilities by onboarding skilled professionals and adopting modern design software and simulation tools. Today, we operate with a streamlined production system that ensures higher output, consistent quality, and the ability to handle large-scale as well as customized orders efficiently.

2. What makes your Neutral Grounding Resistors and other products different from competitors in the market?

Our Neutral Grounding Resistors (NGRs) and other products are distinguished by their superior design quality, operational reliability, and long-lasting performance. We prioritize precision engineering and ensure that every product is manufactured using high-grade raw materials that can withstand harsh industrial conditions.

One of our key strengths lies in our ability to offer customized solutions tailored to specific client requirements, which many competitors are unable to provide effectively. Additionally, we follow stringent quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring that each product meets exact technical specifications. Additionally, we maintain close communication with our international clients to understand their technical requirements and ensure precise compliance. Our commitment to consistency, reliability, and transparency has helped us build strong, long-term relationships with global customers.

6. What challenges do you face while manufacturing customized resistors based on specific client requirements?

Manufacturing customized resistors involves several technical challenges, as each project requires a deep understanding of the client’s application and operating conditions. One of the primary challenges is achieving precise electrical ratings while ensuring stability and safety under varying environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and load fluctuations.

In addition, we aim to increase our export footprint by entering new international markets.
