Central Tool Room and Training Centre (CTTC), Bhubaneswar, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Government of India, is organizing a one year certificate course for MSMEs in CNC programing & practice.

During a telephonic conversation with Sr. Manager (Training) of MSME tool room, Bhubaneswar, Rajan K. M. said, "This course contents 20% theory and 80% practical on CNC Fundamentals, CNC Lathe & CNC Milling Operations and Programming, CNC Turning and Operations and Programming, EDM & WEDM."

When asked about the benefits of this course for MSMEs, he said, "This course is specially designed to facilitate the MSMEs in our country. This course is for making CNC machines in small scale industries and to bring knowledge of CNC technology among SMEs. Nowadays this knowledge is very necessary and the technology is moving in a very faster pace. So the idea is to bring knowledge of CNC in SME sector because there are lots of opportunity in CNC."

He said, "This is a one year course and there are two batches of 12 candidates each. Applicants can send their applications to our office in plain paper along-with Bio-data, copies of mark-sheets & certificates, two passport size photographs. And also a demand draft of Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of "Central Tool Room & Training Centre" payable at Bhubaneswar is to be paid for the purpose of registration which will be adjusted against the course fee."

"22.5% seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates for whom no fee will be charged subject to production of two photo copies of Caste Certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer."

"The course fee is Rs. 32,000/- and to be paid in two equal installments. The course will commence from November 4, 2008," he added.
