The country's leading direct selling fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) company, Amway India Enterprises Limited, is targetting annual sales of Rs.2,500 crore by 2012, a top company official said in Kolkata on Tuesday.

Amway India managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) William S. Pinckney told media persons that the company recorded sales of Rs.1,407 crore last fiscal and has set itself a 22 percent business growth target in 2010-11.

Pinckney said: "We have grown from Rs.799 crore to Rs. 1,128 crore to Rs.1,407 crore over the past three years. And now we are targeting an annual sales figure of Rs.2,500 crore by 2012."

Expressing satisfaction over the growth in the use of consumer products in India as against some other South Asian countries, he said since its entry, Amway has launched as many as 115 products for a variety of Indian consumers.

The company now owns a factory at Himachal Pradesh's Baddi. "We are now thinking of setting up another production facility in tune with our fast expanding business. We will take a final decision on the location of the new facility by December this year," he said.
