After recovering from his health, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Dinsha Patel has inaugurated “Techmart India 2010” and “MSME Expo-2010” at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) in the national capital today.


“Techmart India 2010”
organized by the National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), under the Ministry of MSME. While the MSME Expo-2010 organized by the Development Commissioner (MSME).

Going around the exhibits the Minister said that NSIC through Techmart India is providing single window platform for showcasing clean and energy efficient/ employment generating technologies to start their own industry.

Minister said, “These kinds of platforms are the best place for development of MSMEs and also for promotion of there products.”

Uday Verma, Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and H. P. Kumar, CMD, NSIC were also present on the occasion.

About 200 MSMEs coming from all over India including North Eastern States representing various industrial sectors are participating this year and 35 foreign delegations from African and South-East Asian regions are expected to visit the Techmart.

NSIC organises Techmart India exhibition every year where its showcases the Technological Development achieved by Indian MSMEs, exposing them to domestic and international market. It is a perfect platform for those associated with the Micro, Small and Medium sector as also an ideal platform to network/ establish new business contacts/ renew old contacts, discover new market opportunities.

Going around the MSME Expo-2010 the Minister praised the exhibits and the work done by the clusters. He said that the need is to make special efforts to publicize the activities and schemes to create greater awareness and to reach out to the villages and bring economic prosperity and social upliftment of the rural masses.

The MSME Expo will help the MSMEs to exhibit their products manufactured by MSME entrepreneurs in order to provide marketing opportunity to MSMEs within the country and abroad to focus on their products.

Encouraged with the overwhelming response of previous year, 70 MSME entrepreneurs from all over the country exhibited their products. A large variety of products like ready-made garments, artificial jewellary, leather products, food products, toys, chemical products, electrical products, consumer products etc. are put for display.

Patel was admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital in Kochi after he complained of chest pain and breathing difficulties on November 13. He was discharged on Sunday after his condition continued to remain stable.

Expo visit is now open to public. You may visit during any working days till 27th Nov 2010 Tim0ng of visit is from 0930 Morning to 0530 evening including saturday/sundays. Ticket for entry are available on entry gate or on Metro Station counters.Tickets are costing nominal.Exibitors from India and Abroad have displayed their product.It is a good place to see. Thanks
