2nd Edition of Logix India 2019 concluded with yet another great fan following and roaring success, offering huge opportunities for both Indian and Global players.

The 3-day mega event organized by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) saw well over 3500 business to business meetings along with parallel sessions on different issues, challenges and above all opportunities with regard to the logistics sector across India and the world.

More than 120 logistics companies and their delegates from 26 countries participated at this mega event and exchanged business prospects and opportunities to make Indian logistics sector global. 

Besides these, FIEO also signed MoUs with CAMFA, Cambodia and NAFL, UAE to further promote commerce and trade.

Speaking at the Valedictory session of the Logix India 2019, Anant Swarup, Joint Secretary (Logistics), Department of Commerce, Govt of India said that India has largest network of Roads and Railways.

The projected CAGR of logistics sector is over 10 per cent. Government’s role is to provide infrastructure and policy support. The need of the hour is to have end-to-end solution for cost effective and efficient logistics.

Swarup also added that Government is working on further improving Port and Airport efficiency, thereby improving the overall logistics sector of the country.

FIEO President Sharad Kumar Saraf in his concluding remarks said that 2nd edition of Logix India 2019 was a major breakthrough having excelled yet again all the expectations.

Stakeholders from CIS Nations and Iran have shown keen interest and have played a pivotal role in making this mega event a great success. Today, importance and need of reducing logistics cost is the buzz word.

Further, evolution of Supply Chain Management will help in providing door-to-door service for all stakeholders of the sector.

Saraf also added that European model for Inland River Transport along with development of our large coastline should be looked into for further developing of Regional Logistic Hubs across the country.

Ajay Sahai, DG & CEO, FIEO said that 2nd edition of Logix India 2019 has provided a great networking platform for all the stakeholders including SMEs and has given them an opportunity to know who is who of business.

Feedbacks and responses from both Indian and International delegation will further pave the way for the 3rd Edition of the event that is Logix India added Dr Sahai.
