Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Kalraj Mishra has launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the Ministry of MSME in letter and spirit in New Delhi on Thursday.

The Minister led by example by cleaning the floor of a section and arranging files in another thereby setting the tone for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

While remembering Mahatma Gandhi's famous quote, 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness,' the Minister said the Government is committed to providing a clean and healthy environment.

The Minister visited different sections in the Ministry, and interacted personally with the staff to motivate them to adopt cleanliness, sanitation and personal hygiene in their offices and in their lifestyles.

The Ministry of MSME has initiated several steps to  sensitize the employees the need to clean their respective office space, weed out undesired records and properly arrange the office records.

Present on the occasion were Shri Madhav Lal, Secretary, and other senior officials of the Ministry.
