Kalraj opens Techmart India, MSME Expo, Khadi Pavilion at IITF - 2014

Union Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Kalraj Mishra
Friday inaugurated three different stalls including Techmart India organized by
NSIC, his ministry's MSME Expo-2014 and Khadi Pavilion by KVIC, at IITF-2014,
Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
This year also, NSIC is organizing 22nd edition of the event 'Techmart
India-2014' in hall no. 14 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from November 14 to 27.
In 'Techmart India-2014', the total no. of participants is 586 (540 in the last
year) out of which 403 nos. are participating through virtual display and
remaining 183 has taken space/ stall. These 183 participants include 19 no.
ST/ST, 36 no. from North-Eastern States and 17 no. women entrepreneurs.
The event is basically a Technology Based Exhibition which mainly covers
Packing and Packaging Machines and Products, Machines and Machine Tools,
Information Technology, Agro and Food Processing Machines and Products,
Electrical and Electronics Products, Auto Components and Industrial Products
etc.
Second one, MSME Expo is organised by the Development Commissioner
(MSME) at Trade Fair every year. The main theme of this year is Design
Intervention in MSME sector through
Design Clinic scheme. More than 54 participants/entrepreneurs including

Women, from all over India are participating in the MSME Expo-2014 and
exhibiting their products in more than 89 stalls. Out of 54
entrepreneurs 04
are from NER and 03 are from SC/ST.
The SMEs from all over India are participating to demonstrate their quality
products, skill & traditional art work of India. The uniqueness of this
year MSME Expo is that visitors will have the chance to see the product from
states like Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, Himachal
Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan etc.
The Office of the DC (MSME) is facilitating the exhibitors to promote their
products by providing them with subsidized stalls. The products range varies
from technical products requiring high precision manufacturing to products
which manifests India’s strength in traditional knowledge of ayurveda &
artwork. Special category entrepreneurs have been encouraged through enhanced
subsidy.
The objective of this exhibition is to recognize the strength of India's
Micro and Small-Scale unit by showcasing the technology adopted by them in
manufacturing products and also to provide a suitable platform at reasonable
cost to develop a platform for future trade & business not only
domestically but globally.
Third one, KVIC has been participating in the IITF organized by India Trade Promotion
Organisation, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi for the last two decades. The theme of
this year's fair is Women Entrepreneurs. An exclusive Khadi Pavilion carrying
this theme has been setup in Hall No: 15 (inside and outside) comprising approximately
2800 sq meter area.
Total 199 Institutions/ SFURTI clusters/ VI/REGP/PMEGP units, state KVI Boards,
Departmental Bhavans to display and demonstrate their exquisite products. Out
of 199 participates 49 are Khadi Institutions, 1 Departmental Bhavan, 5 State
Boards, 8 SFURTI clusters & 136 REGP/PMEGP units. Out of 136 PMEGP units,
76 units are run by women entrepreneurs.
To further popularize the products of Khadi Fabrics, Readymade Garments &
Village Industries a Khadi Paridhan Utsav (Fashion Show) is being organized on
25th November 2014 at ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
