The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs Wednesday decided to reduce the minimum export price for onion to USD 350 per tonne, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
"We had increased the minimum export price for onion to USD 500 per tonne to make export less competitive. But now that there is availability of onion, we have decided to reduce the minimum export price to USD 350 per tonne," Prasad told the media New Delhi.
