India's wholesale price inflation in July eased to a five-month low of 5.19 percent as compared to 5.43 percent in the previous month, aided by a moderation in fuel costs, government data showed Thursday.
The wholesale price index (WPI) was at 5.85 percent during the corresponding month of the previous year.
The build up inflation rate in the current fiscal was 2.38 percent compared to a build up rate of 3.17 percent in the corresponding period of the previous year, a commerce and industry ministry statement said New Delhi.
