With an objective to strength India's micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of MSME, is organizing the MSME Expo at India International Trade Fair (IITF) from 14 to 27 November every year at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

"The objective of this exhibition is to recognize the strength of India's micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by showcasing the technology adopted by them in manufacturing products and also to provide a suitable platform at reasonable cost to develop a platform for future trade & business not only domestically but globally," said Madhav Lal, Secretary of Ministry of MSME.

Madhav Lal has inaugurated the MSME Expo-2013 at IITF in the national capital on Saturday.

"More than 66 participants from all over India are participating in the MSME Expo-2013 exhibiting their products in more than 89 stalls," he informed.

"The SMEs from all over India are participating to demonstrate their quality products, skill & traditional art work of India," added Lal.

The uniqueness of this year MSME Expo is that visitors will have the chance to see the product from states like Assam, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan etc.

The Office of DC (MSME) is facilitating the exhibitors to promote their products by providing them with subsidized stalls.

The products range varies from technical products requiring high precision manufacturing to products which manifests India’s strength in traditional knowledge of ayurveda & artwork.  Special category entrepreneurs have been encouraged through enhanced subsidy, informed ministry's press release.
