An exhibition-cum-sale showcasing handicrafts, handlooms and furniture from North-East begins in New Delhi from May 11 to May 20.

Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Ltd. (CCIC) is organizing this exhibition-cum-sale titled "Treasures of North East" in its showroom at Janpath, New Delhi, showcasing authentic handicrafts, handlooms and furniture from the land of the Seven Sisters.

"The Handloom range includes home linen (Table Linen/ Cushion Cover, Woven Mat Sets), ready to wear for women & men, sarees, traditional fabrics etc.," said Alka Arora, Managing Director, CCIC.

"And the handicraft range includes art objects (Lord Buddha statues from Sikkim, artifacts, Thangka paintings, carved & painted furniture, marble gold leaf Buddha paintings), assorted bamboo cane furniture and accessories, black pottery from Manipur, basketry, wooden utility & gift items," she added.

During the course of exhibition, there will also be on offer delicacies from North East to Savour.

The above exhibition is mainly aimed at affording a chance to esteemed patrons of CCIC to discover magical beauty, bewildering diversity and vibrant cultural traditions of different North Eastern states.
