Boman Irani gets €˜Comically Duped in Intex's Latest AD Campaign

NewsVoir | 25 Sep, 2017

Intex Technologies, a leading mobile and consumer durables major, that offers a youthful range of LED & Smart TVs, is all set to cash-in on the festive mood of its customers with a humorous tinge, as it launches its latest TVC on the product range.

The commercial that features noted Bollywood actor, Boman Irani, will be playing on various sports, entertainment and news channels across India over a period of one month starting September 23, 2017. The ad conceptualised by Publicis India is set in a house being looted by two thieves in the presence of its owner. The scene of the Ad  leads into a close-up of the thieves looking mesmerized by the clarity, display and content quality being played on Intex TV, and ends on a note where the TV and the free speaker that came in the festive offer is the only valuable item they steal and abscond with.

Speaking about the campaign, Mr. Keshav Bansal, Director, Intex Technologies said, â€œOur power packed range of LED and Smart TVs have become hugely popular among the consumers very soon. We are new entrants in this segment, but we come with a robust background of superior quality complemented with aspects of affordability. The market is flooded with Smart TVs that are harping on picture quality & clarity, a highly undifferentiated category. The task thus was to position Intex Smart TV’s in a way that will resonate with the consumers’ desires and aspirations – more than just a bundle of great features at an affordable price. One that we can truly call as ‘a Smart TV.’'

Commenting on the TVC, Mr. Bobby Pawar, Director & Chief Creative Officer – South Asia, Publicis India said: “The brief was to bring out the differentiation that makes Intex Smart TV a force to reckon with. With Boman Irani as the communication agent, the unique brand attributes of Intex Smart TV are put out in an interesting & humorous manner for the audience to take note of. The film goes on to redefine ‘smart’ in an unconventional manner and affirm the brand’s ‘ISSEY KEHTE HAIN SMART’ tagline with much ease.”

The channels where the advertisement will be featured are Star Sports, Set Max, Zee Cinema, Sony, Colors, Zee, SAB TV, & Pictures, UTV Movies, Aaj Tak, ABP News, Zee News, News 18, India Today, CNN-IBN, ABP Majha, Zee Talkies, ABP Asmita, ETV Gujarati, ETV Rajasthan, India News UP, Udaya TV, Udaya Movies, Public TV + Music, Suvarna News, ETV Kannada, Udaya Comedy, Sun TV, KTV, PTTV, Adhitya TV, Thanti TV, Zee Telugu, Maa Movies, TV5 Telugu and TV9 Telugu.

The Intex LED Smart series comes with a plenty of smart features like smart connect, ultra-high resolution, digital noise reduction powered with 8-GB in-built memory, app store and wireless display technology. There is also an exciting offer of free 5.1 channel home theatre with BT connectivity available on LED TVs above 39” and a free BT headphone available on LED TVs above 32”.
