SpiceJet Tops Industry On-Time Performance and PLF for July-16

NewsVoir | 19 Aug, 2016
SpiceJet, the country’s favourite low-cost carrier has set a new benchmark in Indian aviation by registering best On-Time Performance (OTP) and highest Passenger Load Factor (PLF) among major carriers having sizeable operations in the four metros of Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

OTP for the month of July 2016 stood at 79.2%; while the airline again topped the Passenger Load Factor (PLF) chart registering 92% for the same period. SpiceJet has registered more than 90% PLF for 15 consecutive months; the highest in each month in Indian skies.

Diligent planning, efficient utilization of the resources and a strong determination across all the crew and support departments have lead the airline to significantly better its performance in July. The airline also registered the lowest flight cancellation rate of 0.28% during the same period.

SpiceJet operated 298 daily flights and carried almost 10 lakh passengers during the month.
