Midnight Fashion Extravaganza at Tantra, The Park Kolkata

KOLKATA: Known for its glamorous, out-of-the-box and flamboyant entertainment events, The Park is delighted to present an extremely stylish and upscale fashion show right at the stroke of midnight.

Tantra, the most happening nightclub in the city and one of the most popular in the country, is the ideal venue for a flash fashion show. The best of designers like Rohit Bal have presented their collection here and the likes of Katrina Kaif have walked the ramp. Open for our guests and patrons to witness, the fashion show will be a spectacle complete with great music, lights and drinks.

Join us for 'MIDNIGHT HOT', featuring Chennai-based designer Mr. Vivek Karunakaran and Mumbai-based models Ms. Candice Pinto and Ms. Sonalika Sahay among other top models from Kolkata. The show is directed and choreographed by Rajat and makeup is by Kaushik.

Vivek has been styling eminent personalities from the world of cinema, music and sports to the likes of Christian Louboutin, Sonam Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Lisa Ray, Anil Kapoor, Leander Paes, A R Rahman, Shankar Mahadevan, Sonakshi Sinha, Nagarjuna, Nicole Faria, Amy Jackson, Suriya, Chiyaan Vikram, Parvathy Omanakuttan and many more.

Currently based in Chennai, Vivek Karunakaran graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Chennai, with an award-winning Diploma in Fashion Design in 2002. He was awarded the Best Constructed Design Award for his collection - Pavillion de' Desir - at the NIFT graduating show 2002.

Starting his fashion career with Isex Fashions, Chennai, as the Creative Head - he has put together collections for various American and European labels like Zara, Kenzo, Diesel, Facconable, Napapijri, Armani and Brooksfield. He is one of the few designers in India who has been noted for the extensive range offered in both Menswear and Womenswear. Vivek Karunakaran has been associated with the Lakme Fashion Week, Amazon India Fashion Week, ATP Chennai Open, Pantaloon Femina Miss India and various other prestigious events through out the calendar year. Most recently, he conceptualized and created a fashion collection for the Handloom Export Promotion Council of India, Ministry of Textiles for the International Trade Fair.
