Flipkart Launches the Maternity Category

Flipkart, India’s largest e-commerce marketplace, announced the launch of its maternity category today. With over 1500 maternity styles in clothing, this will offer customers the biggest collection in the market today.


The maternity products market has emerged as one of the most lucrative markets in India over a period of time. According to research and consultancy firm RNCOS, it is estimated to grow with a CAGR of around 17 per cent till 2017. Indian parents are also looking beyond just pricing to value and more importantly, the convenience of a hassle-free shopping experience.


Flipkart aims to become a go-to platform for all the new and expecting mothers - offering them an exhaustive range of Indian and international maternity products and essentials available on a single platform.


What can customers expect from this category?

  • Exclusive catalogs and collections of some of the leading maternity brands in the country such as Nine Maternity, Mom & Me and Morph Maternity

  • Over 1500 styles in maternity wear - the biggest collection in the market today in comparison to any other maternity retail brand or portal
