Personal Care India Expo 2015 Reaffirms Industry Growth

NEW DELHI: The Personal Care India Expo 2015, India's first international trade event catering to the personal care, cosmetic & home care ingredients, machinery and packaging industries, reiterated the industry's potential and roadmap in India. The maiden trade show organized by UBM India concluded on 21st August at Pragati Maidan. Key players of the cosmetics ingredients, raw material and contract manufacturing, packaging and machinery, ayurveda and nutraceutical ingredients, congregated to connect, share and ideate.

Spread over three days, the event provided an industry platform for international buyer-seller meets to cosmetics & ingredients manufacturers, exporters/importers, distributors, consultants and trade bodies. The trade show had an industry congregation of over 125 companies, over 2,700 buyers including delegates from Kenya, Libya, France and Germany. Hosted buyers included renowned companies such as Kaya, Vishal Personal Care, MCPL Ltd., Anchor Health & Personal Care Ltd., Auravedic, ITC Ltd., Marico, Emami, VVF Ltd., Goran Pharma, Seahorse Pharma, Parammount Cosmetics and Nivea Ltd.

In addition to inaugurating the show, Shahnaz Husain, CMD, Shahnaz Husain Group of Companies, awarded the winners of innovative ingredients, machinery and packaging at the Innovative Product Showcase, a key highlight of the show. The show was also marked by a series of industry seminars and workshops on packaging & technology, digital packaging, ingredients & raw material, fragrance & flavours over the three days. Key speakers included experts like Jamie Cid, Purple Herd; Kavita Gaikwad, Clariant Chemicals; Vimaresh Darji and Mr. Vinayak Mohan, Ace Technologies; Dr. Amit Zanul, Agilent; Warren Fernandes, Arjun Beeswax; Gaurang Thumar, Sundaram Technologies; S. Mukherjee, KBH Polymers Pvt Ltd; Rishabh Desai, Koel Colors.

The show has been well received by industry with support from Chemexcil - Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics Export Promotion Council (a Ministry of Commerce & Industry Government of India initiative), The Indian Home & Personal Care Industry Association (IHPCIA), Fragrances and Flavours Association of India (FAFAI), EU Chamber of Commerce, Oil Technologists' Association of India - West Zone (OTAI), and the All India Cosmetic Manufacturers' Association (AICMA).
