The World of Jewellery and Gemstones Comes to Freiburg

FREIBURG, Germany: The jewellery industry is one of the largest export sectors within India, Colombia is producing some of the largest emeralds in the world and Hong Kong has become one of the international headquarters for jewellery manufacturers. In short: Few industries are as internationally inherent as the jewellery and gem industry. The Jewellery & Gem Fair Europe, 1-4 April 2014, brings high quality exhibitors from around the world, to Europe. One of the companies exhibiting for the first time in Germany is Finex Jewellery Ltd, coming from Hong Kong. Although established in 2005, Finex Jewellery has already made a name for itself as one of the leaders in the industry. Finex Jewellery has more than 400 highly qualified specialists, from various countries, working for the company and produces more than 1 million pieces of jewellery each year. Finex Jewellery's portfolio consists of 14-18 carat gold jewellery with precious stones, semi-precious stones, pearls and diamonds. Also included in the collections are high-quality silver pieces with natural and synthetic stones. Diamonds from India 

The Indian based manufacturer KARP specialises in the production and marketing of polished diamonds and diamond jewellery. Their distribution is currently worldwide, however, this is the first time they will be present at a German trade show. KARP has 12 global offices will have two booths at the fair. Award-winning jewellery from Thailand 

Founded in 1973, the Pranda Group ranks among the world's leading manufacturers of fine jewellery. This is demonstrated by the dozens of awards received in the past few years. In 2012, they won the JNA Award for Producer of the Year and in 2013 were awarded Sustainability Initiative of the Year, not to mention that they have also previously received awards for design and export. Exclusive jewellery designs are what distinguish the Mousson studio from others. Colombia has one of the largest deposits of emeralds in the world and it is for this reason that Colombia will have its own country pavilion at the fair. The Jewellery & Gem Fair are working with the ACODES, a non-profit organisation who work at bringing Colombian emeralds to new markets around the world. They work very closely with the Colombian government to ensure ethical labour standards are adhered to, throughout the supply chain. The basic principle is to help strengthen the trust of buyers around the world.
