CSS Corp Listed as System Integrator in the Market Trends Report

PR Newswire | 29 Jul, 2014
BANGALORE: CSS Corp, a global technology support company, has been recognised as a regional system integrator in the market trends by Gartner in their recent report 'Market Trends: Managed Security Services, Asia/Pacific, 2014'.

CSS Corp has been recognised by Gartner as a Managed Security Service provider in the Asia-Pacific region in the system integration category. Gartner forecasts (see "Forecast: Information Security, Worldwide, 2012-2018, 1Q-14 Update") that the managed security service provider (MSSP) market in Asia/Pacific (worth $3.6 billion in 2014) will grow by 13% by 2017 to reach $5.3 billion. In 2014, 81% of the $3.6 billion market opportunity will be contributed by the mature Asia/Pacific sub-region, 9% from emerging Asia/Pacific and 10% from Greater China.

According to analysts Sid Deshpande, Craig Lawson and Lawrence Pingree, Gartner expects MSSPs to refine their service portfolios over the next two years to enhance client benefits from these new approaches (such as analytics and visualisation). MSSP service refinement will have the potential to disrupt on-premise product offerings in the market that requires substantial capital investment as end-user clients opt for an operating expenditure, delivered service like MSS. MSSPs have the scale, global visibility and (most importantly) the critical mass of security experts to provide the ideal blend required for these offerings to be successful. Point vendor products running within a single client environment lack these three critical success criteria. This fact will be a significant area of innovation in the MSSP industry through 2017.

Speaking on the occasion, 'Tiger' T.G Ramesh, CEO, CSS Corp., said, "We are proud to be named as a regional system integrator in the Gartner Market Trends: Managed Security Services, Asia/Pacific, 2014 report. I feel this recognition will reinforce the growth of CSS Corp and enhance the quality of the services we provide in the area of threat management. As a MSSP, we have an understanding of today's threat landscape and our managed security services are designed to help our customers protect their critical information assets."
