BENGALURU: Join India's electronics innovators, engineers, and entrepreneurs for two intense days at NIMHANS Convention Centre in Bengaluru. See the 'Internet of Things', how any one can transform ideas into prototypes, and learn from industry stalwarts as they present sessions on their favourite technologies. The two day event begins on 5 October, 2013.

If you are a programmer who wants to get into the electronics field, an electronics enthusiast looking to catch up with the cutting edge of DIY, or a professional engineer looking forward to keep up with the fast-paced world of electronics; Electronics Rocks '13 will have the content you need.

This session will be followed by "Empowering electric vehicles with the Internet of Things", by Chetan Maini, Founder and CEO of Mahindra Reva. The evening keynote is by Kaivan Karimi from Freescale, who will be presenting a very interesting session on, "The Future of home gateway, enabling 'the Jetsons' household services". Other key speakers at the event are, Eric Lee from RS Components, R.K Shenoy from Robert Bosch, Ravishankar K from Intel, Ravi Pagar from RS Components, Betty Row from MDS Pacific, Priya Kuber from Arduino and Jayraj U from Infosys Labs.

There are also special workshops on building an IoT product from scratch, converting your idea into a prototype using Arduino or a Beagle Bone Black, how to build your own industrial robot, designing embedded systems using multiphysics, and the fundamentals of innovative embedded systems.

"Gadgets have penetrated lives of most of us. The latest advancements in technology has now allowed us to make these gadgets even smarter -- courtesy the Internet of Things. Through the 'Internet of Things' track at the conference, we are bringing Indian IoT designs into the limelight to give them an opportunity. At the same time, through the 'design talks' we aim to highlight the latest technologies and solutions available to electronics engineers so that they can design products better, faster and cheaper. Last but not the least, we hope to bring the experts together together and share their knowledge with their peers in the industry," said Ramesh Chopra, Founder and Vice-Chairman of the EFY group, sharing the thought process behind the expo-cum-conference.
