E-Technologies Partners with Infrascale in South Africa

PR Newswire | 18 Jun, 2013
JOHANNESBURG: E-Technologies, provider of technology services to security-conscious industries, has partnered with Infrascale to offer its customers FileLocker™. FileLocker is a secure file sharing and collaboration tool that combines the security of client-side private key encryption and the ability to be deployed in a private network with on-site servers. Learn more about E-Technologies' FileLocker offering: www.etechnologies.co.za.

Truly Secure File Sharing Inside South Africa

FileLocker employs end-to-end encryption from desktop to cloud to keep information completely safe. Files are protected before leaving a device with a personal passphrase known only to the account-holder, transferred over a 256-bit SSL connection, encrypted again and then stored in the FileLocker cloud. Also, files are kept for an unlimited amount of time and each-and-every past version can be restored.

FileLocker: Built by Data Protection Experts

FileLocker is created by Infrascale™, whose technology powers over one-thousand cloud storage brands, including SOS Online Backup. During its development cycle, FileLocker's underlying technology has been put to use by over a million individual and company accounts and shared over a billion files.

"Our partnership with Infrascale will allow us to provide our customers with secure solutions for file sharing, collaboration and online backup. We are very impressed with FileLocker and SOS Online Backup and we look forward to building the South African market with Infrascale," said Dirk Bottinger, CEO of E-Technologies.

Infrascale views geographic expansion to Africa as vital to its efforts. In 2012, Infrascale launched a data centre in South Africa in response to partner demand. Brian Berlin, SVP of Global Sales at Infrascale says, "The South African market is strategic to our global sales strategy, and our partnership with E-Technologies represents a major step towards capturing new business in the territory. We are committed to developing the market with empowered channel partners like E-Technologies."

Advancing Enterprise Content Management for E-Technologies Customers

E-Technologies has been a premier provider of enterprise content management tools in Africa since 2008. The addition of FileLocker to its suite of products will expand the company's security focused product offerings. E-Technologies provides enterprise content management solutions for the Office of the Presidency, Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory, and Bank of Zambia.
