HYDERABAD, India: Healthy Mother Wellness & Care (http://healthy-mother.com), India's largest provider of Lamaze Prenatal Childbirth classes to expecting couples, announced the start of the next batch in its series of Certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator Workshops that trains and prepares aspiring Lamaze Childbirth Educators towards the path of official certification by Lamaze International.

A passionate group of aspiring childbirth educators will meet over three days of intensive training in Hyderabad, starting January 22, to learn about gentle birth practices that promote, support and protect normal birth and Mother-Baby friendly practices. The workshop is conducted under exclusive partnership with Douglas College, Vancouver, Canada, the world's pre-eminent institute for perinatal education.

Welcoming the latest batch of aspiring Lamaze teachers, Dr. Vijaya Krishnan, Director of Healthy Mother Wellness & Care, said, "Healthy Mother is committed to spreading the message of safe, healthy and empowering normal birth to expecting mothers and their families. Over the past four years, over 300 expecting couples have benefited from our Lamaze Childbirth classes, and have become knowledgeable and confident about pregnancy, childbirth and newborn care. In association with our partner, Douglas College, we have created a customized training program for Indian couples keeping in mind local customs and sensitivities. As more and more couples embrace the learnings from the Healthy Mother Lamaze Prenatal classes, we are constantly asked by expecting couples from all parts of the country for similar classes in their cities and towns. The Healthy Mother - Douglas College Lamaze Childbirth Educator Workshop is intended to create a cadre of committed, passionate Lamaze teachers from all over the country, who can then teach in their own communities. This "train the trainer" program has until now, graduated over 40 Lamaze Childbirth Educators in various cities and towns across India."
