Postage Stamp in Honour of Founder of India Cements

Honourable Governor of Tamil Nadu Dr. K. Rosaiah Releases a Commemorative Postage Stamp in Honour of Shri. T.S. Narayanaswami, Founder of India Cements

CHENNAI: On the occasion of Shri. T. S. Narayanaswami's birth centenary, his son, Mr. N. Srinivasan, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of The India Cements Ltd., expressed a deep sense of gratitude to the gathering and announced the release of a commemorative postage stamp and a booklet named 'Life and Times of Shri. T.S. Narayanaswami'.

Chief Guest for the evening, Dr. K. Rosaiah, his Excellency, The Governor of Tamil Nadu, formally released the postage stamp along with the booklet, in honour of Shri. T.S. Narayanaswami.

Dr. M.A.M. Ramaswamy, Chairman, Chettinad Group of Companies received the aforesaid Commemorative Postage Stamp. Several dignitaries including Chief Post Master General, Tamil Nadu Circle, Chennai graced the function.

On the occasion, Mr. N. Srinivasan, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, The India Cements Ltd. said, "It is a proud moment for the India Cements Group and I am grateful to Hon'ble Dr. K. Rosaiah and The Indian Post for taking this unique initiative to honour my father Shri. T.S. Narayanaswami by releasing a commemorative stamp in his memory. I am humbled that my father's work has been recognised and appreciated and he is remembered as a mentor and inspiration to many."

While remembering his father on the special day, Mr. N. Srinivasan mentioned how the story of India Cements Group began. The company was incepted with the joint efforts of three extremely distinguished persons - Shri. Sankaralinga Iyer, Shri. K. Lakshmanan and Shri. T.S. Narayanaswami, who were the catalyst and brought many projects to fruition, despite many hurdles.
