CIBER Taps Oracle Executive to Lead Operations in India

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.: Vivek K. Marla, former Oracle vice president and head of Oracle Solution Services in India (Oracle SSI) – Oracle's global consulting organization, has joined CIBER's executive team as its Senior Vice President and President CIBER India, CIBER's primary global delivery center.  Vivek brings 30 years of IT industry experience that has spanned the globe, running businesses in the U.S., Asia and Europe. For the past 20 years, Vivek has worked for Oracle Corporation in roles that have focused on driving transformational change, strategic focus, business development and talent management.

"Vivek has a proven track record of driving profitable growth through service excellence, client focus and highly differentiated services delivered globally," said Dave Peterschmidt, CIBER CEO.  "Increasingly businesses are turning to global delivery to drive efficiency, support around-the-clock work, access talent and ensure business continuity. As a well-established IT leader who has already proven his ability to build a solid services delivery engine, we're confident Vivek will be a significant force in helping CIBER strengthen and grow our global delivery business."

In his tenure with Oracle SSI, Vivek developed a top-notch consulting organization, expanded it from 250 to more than 1,300, while simultaneously increasing the portfolio of services being offered by nearly 400 percent. In the past five years, he grew revenue by more than 300 percent and consistently overachieved on annual margin. He developed new markets for the organization in 40 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.

"One of my proudest achievements with Oracle was building a loyal customer base and a strong committed workforce within Oracle SSI.  I am pleased to be joining a company with a commitment to and reputation for client focus," Vivek said. "CIBER has consistently grown its Indian operations, opened a new center this year and is committed to delivering high-quality service with the best resources for the job."

Vivek joined CIBER effective January 2. He replaces Vice President Vir Bhanu, who has headed India operations since September, when Kote Raghurama, former President of CIBER India, left the business to pursue other interests.  Vir Bhanu will continue to lead CIBER India's domestic business.
