Cadabam's Group Organizes Talent Meet "ANVESHA 2011"

BANGALORE, India: Cadabam's Group organized ANVESHA 2011, a talent meet, where persons with mental illness undergoing rehabilitation programs at various centres across Karnataka state showcase their potential and talent. They are encouraged to participate in various events and the winners are awarded.

Just like various inter-collegiate meets, corporate or university level meets, Anvesha is organized to motivate the mentally challenged and provide them with a platform for their potential to bloom. It's an initiative by the Cadabam's Group and is conducted annually since 2007. This is arguably, the only platform for people with mental illness, to compete whole-heartedly and also be recognized for their talents.

Mr. Sandesh R. Cadabam, Director, Cadabam'S Group said in his speech, "Illness is no bar to one's talent and abilities. There is a wider scope for one's potential to bloom that must be brought out." The journey has evolved and has continued to be a platform for the individuals for the past 4 years. ANVESHA 2011 was organized on 12th October 2011 in Manandi Samskriti Sadhana Hall, Bangalore. The event hosted 150 participants from eight different rehabilitation centres from the state of Karnataka. There were six competitions that were held which were Debate, Chess, Carrom, One minute to fame, Pick and Speak and Skits. There was an overwhelming participation and the participants were very enthusiastic and had high team spirits all through. The competitions were judged by nine eminent professionals. One of the participants in the competitions mentioned that, "Anvesha is not a festival, but a movement in itself."

The winners and the runner up for each event were awarded with a trophy. Team with the maximum scores was the winners of Anvesha Rolling Trophy which will be awarded by His Excellency Sri H. R. Bharadwaj, Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka.

The Anvesha Rolling Trophy would be awarded during the Valedictory Ceremony of ANVESHA 2011 to be held on 22nd October 2011 at Lalith Ashok, Bangalore.

Cadabam's Group is a premier organization in the field of Mental Health.
