Utopia, Inc. Doubles Capacity With New Delivery Center in India

MUNDELEIN: Utopia, Inc., a leading data consulting and services provider, today announced the inauguration of its new Center of Excellence, an extension that more than doubles its existing capacity in Bangalore.

"There is an unmistakable uptick in interest globally around data, especially 'big data,'" said Narinder Singh, COO at Utopia. "As a thought leader in data lifecycle management solutions, Utopia is committed to investing in new solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers worldwide. This expansion positions us to grow our Center of Excellence as well as create additional capacity to deliver effective innovative solutions immediately."

The new facility has the latest information technology infrastructure and training center with the ability to expand. It allows Utopia to sustain new and existing customers and support increasing volumes of data in today's content rich environment. Data consultants at the new facility will deliver Utopia's award-winning Enterprise Data Lifecycle Management™ (EDLM) solutions globally. EDLM encompasses all aspects of data management throughout the lifecycle from creation through archiving, and key concepts therein: data quality, data migration, and data governance.

The center will also support Utopia's offerings in the burgeoning enterprise asset management (EAM) area in which Utopia has served major customers in multiple sectors including oil and gas.

Utopia team members from around the world traveled to Bangalore to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony and subsequent celebrations. In a time when unemployment is high, Utopia continues to buck the trend by creating jobs across all its operations globally. "We are hiring on a day to day basis and formally training data management professionals through our Utopia University and boot camps. In the next six months alone, we expect to recruit 500 data professionals globally," stated Andy Martin, EVP of human resources at Utopia. "It is our small contribution towards creating new opportunities."
