Co-founder of Pinnacle Hospitality Joins JHM Hotels

PR Newswire | 15 Aug, 2011

GREENVILLE, S.C.: Suresh Mathur will rejoin JHM Hotels as chief operating officer for JHM International.

Mathur was previously JHM Hotels' vice president of operations from 1993 – 1999. During his tenure he was instrumental in maximizing asset values with Marriott and Hilton properties as well as the other brands in JHM Hotels' portfolio. He played an active role in guest satisfaction, associate satisfaction, product quality, revenue, and profit standards.

A proven management professional with over 35 years in the hospitality industry covering all of the major brands, Mathur co-founded Pinnacle Hospitality in 1999. There, he spearheaded Pinnacle Hospitality's aggressive growth plans and development of new properties, third party management opportunities, and acquisitions of existing hotels.

As chief operating officer of JHM Hotels, Mathur will oversee the company's India operations. "Suresh understands the JHM culture and is going to play a significant role as we continue to develop our interests in India. His experience in developing and opening new properties; repositioning and turning around underperforming hotels is going to be a real asset to JHM, not only in India, but in the United States as well," says D.J. Rama, president of JHM Hotels.

Mathur says, "I am delighted to be back with the JHM Family. I look forward to this new opportunity to share and communicate JHM's vision, mission, values, and business strategies, and navigate its interests though the diversity and complexities of varied cultures and business complexities.

"As Chief Operating Officer, JHM Hotels (India), I am excited to work with 'Team India' and to lead JHM to becoming a formidable player in India in hospitality, education, and other businesses."
