Timothy Patten joins Vibra Healthcare as Regional CEO

PR Newswire | 10 May, 2010

MECHANICSBURG, Pa.: Timothy Patten, MBA, has joined Vibra Healthcare LLC as a Regional CEO with responsibility for the company's long term acute care (LTAC) hospitals in San Diego, CA and Denver, CO. Patten brings with him more than 25 years executive experience in the healthcare industry to his new role with Vibra and most recently served as CEO of Promise Hospital in San Diego.

"We are confident that Tim's expertise, the relationships he has developed over time and his understanding of both the long-term and short-term acute care industries will be instrumental to our success in both San Diego and Denver," says Vibra Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Brad Hollinger. "He will work diligently to build understanding within each marketplace of the important role that LTAC hospitals play in the continuum of care."

In the coming months, Patten will focus his efforts on developing intensive care services at both Vibra Hospital of San Diego and Vibra Hospital of Denver. Essential to his efforts will be the recruitment of additional physicians that provide specific medical care for higher acuity patients that are best served in the LTAC hospital setting.

"Vitally important to our success will be educating our referral sources, payors, patients and families about our strengths," says Patten. "When it comes to weaning a patient from a ventilator, healing significant wounds or treating serious infections, no one does that better than the multidisciplinary staff of an LTAC hospital."

Patten is an active member of the San Diego community, where he serves on the board of directors for the National City Branch of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater San Diego. A graduate of Andrews University, he holds both a bachelor's degree and master's degree in business administration.
