The Apollo Group of Hospitals Wednesday announced the expansion of their diabetes clinics - Sugar Clinics - from 13 to 100 in 90 days.

The group will be adding 87 more Sugar Clinics over the next 90 days across the country and bulk of them will be housed in existing Apollo Hospitals.

"We expect the expansion to 100 clinics in next 90 days. Housing the clinics inside the existing hospitals would give the added advantage of easy accessibility to all the patients," Sangita Reddy, Apollo Hopitals's executive director (Operations), told reporters here.

The group also announced launch of round the clock disease management programme to support patients through a website, mobile application and call centre, under the Sugar 24X7 brand.

According to Pratap C. Reddy, chairman of the group, the expansion programme of Sugar Clinic will be done fast as India faces the challenge of diabetes in a serious way.
