Steel exports surge 224 percent in January

Country's steel exports jumped by 224 percent in January and the country shipped out 5.865 million tonnes of steel in April-January period of the current fiscal -- up by 71.1 percent over the same period last year, a steel ministry's report said.

Coal India's net profit falls 20.25 pc in Q3

Coal India Ltd (CIL) on Saturday reported a 20.25 percent fall in consolidated net profit to Rs 2,884.47 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2016 against Rs 3,617.18 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

'Steel sector facing tough business environment'

Steel imports fall 34 pc, exports up 8.7 pc in April-July

74 coal mine allotments generate revenue of Rs 2,237 cr
