Ashok Leyland net in 2011-12 down by 10 pc

Hit by higher finance cost, increased depreciation and a muted market in its southern strongholds, Hinduja group's flagship company Ashok Leyland posted around 10 percent reduction in net profits last fiscal though overall sales went up by 15 percent, said a top company official.

Yamaha to set up a new two-wheeler plant in Tamil Nadu

Two-wheeler maker Yamaha Motor India Monday announced to open a new two-wheeler factory in Tamil Nadu after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Tamil Nadu today approving the construction and operation of a new two-wheeler factory in the state.

Car sales hit by high interest rate, fuel prices

CEAT reports Rs. 41.5 cr net profit in Q4

Leading automotive and industrial components firm Bosch Ltd reported net profit of Rs.336 crore for the first January-March first quarter of 2012, registering a 23 percent increase year-on-year (YoY) over like period of 2011 at Rs.274 crore.
