French consumer electronics brand Thomson on Monday announced its entry in the Indian audio device market, a year after the successful launch of its Smart TVs in the country.

Technicolor SA, the owner of the Thomson brand, has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Envent Worldwide for the development of the audio range of products in India. The Indian agency LicenseWorks has helped in coordinating this licensing partnership with Technicolor.

As part of the licensing agreement, Envent has introduced a line of Thomson Audio products in the Personal and Home Audio category.

Envent is one of the fastest growing Indian organisations in the field of consumer electronics and is focused on developing audio products for omni-channel distribution. Envent's new collection of Thomson products will be launched exclusively on Amazon in the online domain, as well as across various offline retails chains in the country.

While the products would be launched first in India, it would soon expand across the markets in Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.
