Passenger automobile major Maruti Suzuki Monday launched its next generation of the largest selling Alto K10 hatchback priced between Rs.3.06 lakh and Rs.3.80 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

"Meeting customer demand, the Alto K10 is 15 percent more fuel efficient, delivering best in class 24.07 kms per litre. The auto gear shift with impressive fuel efficiency is another big technology advantage," said Maruti Suzuki managing director and chief executive Kenichi Ayukawa.

"The wider range of the Alto K10 comes with 6 variants including a CNG option and will strengthen Maruti Suzuki's entry level range and get incremental numbers."

The new version boosts of auto gear shift technology, which offers the convenience of automatic transmission without compromising on fuel efficiency.

In addition, the company added that the newly added CNG (compressed natural gas) trim powered by the intelligent gas port injection (iGPI) delivers 32.26 kilometers per kg.

The new version is powered by a 998 cc K-Next all-aluminum light-weight engine which enables the vehicle to zip from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5.3 seconds.
