Indian IT bellwether Infosys Ltd. won a deal from Foreign Enterprise Service Corporation (Fesco) to develop an innovative human resources services platform solution, the company said Tuesday.

"As enterprises in China accelerate their transformation and growth, they are looking for partners who understand requirements of both global and local businesses," Infosys China subsidiary Chief Operating Officer Mike Lu said in a statement from Beijing.

Fesco is the first Chinese firm to provide human resources (HR) services to foreign enterprises, financial institutions and economic organisations in the mainland.

"We have built world-class delivery capabilities in China with local talent to tap the potential of its fast-growing market. We will help Fesco deliver a rewarding service experience to its customers with our technology," Mike said.

The corporation also provides services to over 10,000 global users located across 100 countries.

The platform will enable global users to access its HR offerings through a single window using its self-service options.

The window, designed by Infosys and powered by Oracle PeopleSoft, is a scalable and secure platform built to meet Fesco's growing customer needs.

"We chose Infosys as our implementation partner because of the value it brings to our customers and understands our needs as well as that of our clients," Fesco vice-president Hao Jie said in the statement.

The corporation is setting up an enterprise-wide shared services unit and an IT application platform to deliver more services to its customers in China and worldwide.

"Our platform will transform and automate Fesco's services spanning management of personnel information, organisation structure, reporting and payroll," Mike added.
