More than 2000 buyers visited the 6th Toy Biz International, India's biggest B2B Toy Expo, underway in the national capital, on Sunday. The visitor’s profile includes professional buyers, business visitors and retailers, said Toy Association of India (TAI).

The 'green toys' made from recycled environment-friendly matter are also attracting visitors for being "non-toxic and cost-effective".

The toy industry, which is largely catered by the small and medium enterprises (SMEs), is growing at over 15 percent annually, said TAI .

"The Indian toy industry is all set to take the 'go green' mantra for the safety of children. Together with the TAI, the industry has launched a Campaign, "WE CARE" to prove their sincerity. The industry wants to show that "We Care" for the society, work force and environment. The toy industry is well aware about its responsibilities towards the society and especially the kids," TAI President, Raj Kumar told media on the sidelines of the event.

"The members of toy industry understand the need to protect the earth by being sensitive to ecological needs in every possible way," he added.

The Association has also initiated various steps to help the industry improve their standard as well as market them well. The Toy Industry is taking various steps to produce healthy and more interesting toys for children keeping in mind their theme of creativity. The toys manufactured are user friendly and non-injurious for the kids.

The Expo stretches over a period of 3 days starting from 30th June till 2nd July. The event was inaugurated by R K Mathur, the Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), on 29th June at Pragati Maidan.

Second day of exhibition had an award ceremony. Stalls like GIRNAR INTERNATIONAL, Ti Cycles of India, Sutra Products Pvt ltd, Tripple Ess Toys Pvt Ltd and Toy Son India got awarded on the basis of projection of brand, ambiance feel, display of products.

The industry presents vast potential and efficiency for export of toys, dolls, games and playthings for children of different age groups.

This year theme is 'Destination India' to demonstrate the Indian Toy Industry’s potential and creativity. As the name suggests, the theme aims at covering each and every sector of India.

Some of the exhibitors participating in this expo are battery operated toys, Board games and Puzzles, Craft toys, Activity toys, Dolls sets, Hobbies sets, Education Toys, Electrical Toys, Electronic Toys, Gift Items, Inflatable Toys, Mechanical Toys, Plastic Toys, Ride on Toys, Soft Toys, Stuffed toys, Wooden toys, Metal toys. The Expo also includes 5 prominent International exhibitors.
