In a bid to help Indian small and medium enterprises use television advertising to address local markets, Amagi Media Labs, a Bangalore-based firm, has launched an innovative platform that enables advertisers to advertise on national TV channels but only for their select geographical region, thereby reducing their marketing costs.

"We calls it Smart TV Advertising platform," the company said in a press statement, adding, "Amagi accomplishes this using its unique and world-class technology platform that splits the TV signal at the regional-level."

The solution would help SMEs reduce their marketing costs significantly, the TV-Media technology company added.

"SME brands are faced with high marketing costs to build brands in their regional market. TV is the best medium to build consumer brands, as this provides the best possible medium to connect with consumers at the emotional level. Unfortunately, TV is expensive and more importantly goes across the country, which is a waste for SME brands with very specific regional needs," it said.

Besides providing this unique platform, Amagi Media Labs also provides complete TV creative as well as media planning solution as per the need of advertisers.

"This is critical because a good TV creative and a well-planned media plan is critical for the success of a TV campaign. Amagi provide this in a very cost-effective fashion, knowing the needs and the constraints of regional SMEs," a company official said.
