Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga tabled the Rs 3,588.85 crore vote on
account for the first four months of 2019-20 in the Assembly, here on
Tuesday.
Zoramthanga who also holds the finance portfolio said
Mizoram was witnessing significant growth in terms of socio-economic
progress with the state gross domestic product (SGDP) projected to be at
Rs 22,238.92 at current price at an estimated rate of 12.5 per cent for
2018-19.
"In view of the election model code of conduct, the
state government is unable to present the full-fledged budget," the
Chief Minister said.
He said the projected growth rate was amazing compared with the national growth rate of 7.3 per cent.
The Chief Minister also presented a Rs 2,926.55 crore supplementary demand for grants for 2018-19.
