Cloud data management vendor Veeam on Monday appointed Alistair MacIntyre-Currie as Vice President of Field Marketing for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).

MacIntyre-Currie who earlier worked at Nokia, HP Inc and Riverbed, will lead Veeam's marketing team across the APJ region and report to Brian Bakstran, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing.

"At Veeam, I will be working closely with the wider team, to ensure our marketing strategy marries with business challenges and drives positive change," MacIntyre-Currie said in a statement.

Headquartered in Baar, Switzerland, Veeam has offices in more than 30 countries, including in India.

The company grew by 171 per cent year-on-year with over 100 per cent growth in total bookings in India in the first quarter this year.

Veeam also witnessed a growth of 50 per cent (YoY) in terms of partners added in Q1 in the country.

"We have a huge opportunity in the region to further grow Veeam's Cloud Data Management leadership, and I know that Alistair will be a great addition to an already world-class team," said Bakstran.

Veeam has over 350,000 customers worldwide and its global ecosystem includes 64,000 channel partners.
