Japan, AP Govt joins hand for industrial cooperation in state

A Joint Statement was made on Wednesday at Vijayawada between the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan and the Government of Andhra Pradesh, on the development of new capital city and industrial cooperation, state government's press release on Wednesday.
The Joint Statement was signed by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu and Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry Yosuke Takagi in Vijayawada.
Addressing the Andhra Pradesh and Japan public private joint conference in Vijayawada on Wednesday the Chief Minister said Japan is rich in technology and financial resources and Andhra Pradesh is rich in resources. He described Amaravati as a land of opportunities.
The Chief Minister said Japan should extend cooperation in development of five areas including Development of Amaravati capital city, data centre, disaster management, water supply, sewage tereatment and traffic management. He stressed the need for improving storage capacity of solar energy.
The Chief Minister said AP Government is fully committed to facilitate Japanese investments into Andhra Pradesh by providing the most conducive business environment. He invited the Japanese team to visit AP once in six months and said that he would visit Japan once in six months to improve coordination and develop Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking on the occasion Japan State minister of economy, trade and industry, Yosuke Takagi said that they are ready to extend cooperation in development of Amaravati capital. He said that Japan has been operating 27 projects in the country.
Earlier Ichiro Abe, executive director, Southwest Asia office, trade policy bureau explained on Japan-AP state cooperative plan to develop new capital city. GIIC and Aarvee associates explained on introduction of smart infrastructure master plan and Ascendas Singbridge, Sembcorp explained on start up area development.
Shinji Ejima, senior vice Presiden Japan international cooperation agency of JICA spoke on comprehensive traffic and transportation study for AP capital region and Takamasa Hirose, deputy director general for engineering affairs, MLIT gave examples of Japan’s urban development combined with sports, high-tech and science.
Likewise some other company heads expressed their readiness to extend advanced Japanese infrastructure technology for Amaravati government complex and capital city, High quality core ICT infrastructure for Amaravati smart city, disaster prevention solution for Andhra Pradesh and New capital city, water treatment system for new capital city, introduction of developed sewage treatment technology for new capital city Amaravati, wate water management and to introduce Japanese endowed courses in engineering colleges in AP.
