'Centre ignored protests over cement plant in Solan'

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader Prem Kumar Dhumal Sunday alleged that the Congress-led central government in 2004 had ignored the people's objections while allowing Jaiprakash Associates Limited to set up cement and thermal plants in Solan district.

2G case: Citing parity, Raja seeks bail

A day before his 49th birthday, former telecom minister A. Raja Wednesday moved a bail application in a special CBI court after the Supreme Court granted bail to ex-telecom secretary Siddharth Behura in the 2G case. He sought bail on grounds of parity and said that he is "innocent".
