In an exclusive interview with Simran Kohli, founder of Dusaan Retail Technologies, which promotes Dusaan as a destination for affordable, innovative and premium home furnishing, said that there are 200+ brands onboard, along with 15,000+ products listed on its official website.

We have more than 40 categories apart from furnishings, dining, home decor, and many more options. We recently hit 5M+ Visitors on the website; all in a short span of 1 year, she added.

1. Can you share the inspiration behind the name "Dusaan" and its significance for your brand?

Simran Kohli: Dusaan is derived from the word ‘Dusa’ which means the spirit or essence of a person that is believed to live on and ‘Aan’ which means a moment. This combination encapsulates the profound idea of a timeless essence within a fleeting instant, aligning with the brand's ethos. This one-of-a-kind combination captures a fundamental concept of Dusaan: the coexistence of a timeless essence inside the shortness of a transient instant. The name ‘Dusaan’ reflects the brand's concept, resonating with the idea that there remains an everlasting and significant essence inside the transitory nature of time, representing the brand's commitment to recording meaningful and lasting events while going on in the transformation journey.

2. Can you share insights into the craftsmanship and quality control measures at Dusaan?

Simran Kohli: Dusaan believes in envisioning your vision and curating the exact product for you. We believe in prioritizing customers' tastes, preferences, and aesthetics that will transform the home decor journey. Our craftsmanship is highly based on curating home decor pieces by more than 200+ brands in one place. Dusaan comprises artisans and crafted products, homemade products carefully curated from homegrown brands from different parts of the country.
