In an exclusive interview with smetimes.in for our Face to Face section, Hinesh Jain shares his inspiring entrepreneurial journey from early business setbacks to building a thriving machinery venture. Today, his mission is to empower farmers, women entrepreneurs, and MSMEs across India while promoting healthier, chemical-free living.

Q: Could you briefly introduce yourself?

A: I am Hinesh Jain. As an entrepreneur, I believe deeply in the power of perseverance. I started my business journey in 2012 with a corn puff snacks manufacturing unit. Although that venture did not succeed as I had hoped, it provided me with invaluable groundwork and industry insights. In 2014, I transitioned into the beverages sector, where I continued to learn and expand my skill set. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted this venture, ultimately leading to its closure.

However, every setback carries a lesson. I had already begun exploring the cold press and screw press oil machine industry in 2019. After navigating the immense challenges brought on by the pandemic, I pivoted entirely, dedicating my full focus and the practical experience I had gained over the years to building and scaling this current business with renewed determination.

Q: What is your long-term vision for the company?

A: Our long-term vision is highly purpose-driven: we want to make cold press oil machines accessible in every village across India. By doing so, we can enable people to produce and consume pure, chemical-free oil, which is foundational to a healthier lifestyle and a longer life. Alongside this health-focused mission, we aim to deliver sustainable, technology-driven manufacturing solutions. Our ultimate goal is to empower small businesses, farmers, and grassroots entrepreneurs with highly efficient and reliable machinery that fosters local economic growth.

Q: Which key industries do you currently serve, and how do your solutions create an impact for them?

A: We primarily serve the food processing and oil production industries, but our core focus is on individuals—specifically new entrepreneurs, women launching home-based businesses, farmers, and MSMEs.

Our machinery empowers these segments by being user-friendly, highly efficient, and capable of reducing manual labor while maximizing productivity. By ensuring consistent product quality, our solutions allow these customers to start small, operate independently, and confidently scale their businesses in a sustainable manner.

Q: What would you like prospective clients or partners to know about your company?

A: I want them to know that we offer much more than just equipment; we offer a partnership rooted in practical industry experience. Because of my own entrepreneurial journey, I intimately understand the real-world challenges that farmers, small business owners, and MSMEs face.

We are committed to delivering reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality machinery, but our support extends far beyond the sale. We provide comprehensive, end-to-end assistance—from machine selection and setup to operational training and dedicated after-sales service. With a strong emphasis on innovation and sustainability, our goal is to build long-term relationships and actively help our customers succeed.

Q: How is digital transformation changing the way MSMEs operate today?

A: Digital transformation is completely reshaping the MSME landscape, making businesses exponentially more connected, efficient, and competitive. Through the adoption of digital tools—such as online marketing, automated workflows, cloud-based management systems, and digital payment gateways—MSMEs can now streamline their operations and tap into a much wider customer base.

Platforms like social media allow for targeted product promotion and rapid customer communication, while modern machinery and digital tracking reduce manual errors and ensure consistent quality. Ultimately, digital transformation enables MSMEs to lower their operational costs, make faster, data-driven decisions, and scale with agility in an increasingly competitive market.

Q: What are your expansion plans for the near future?

A: In the near future, we plan to significantly expand our product portfolio and integrate more advanced manufacturing technologies into our machinery. Strategically, we are exploring new markets, both domestically and internationally. A major focus will also be placed on fortifying our on-ground distribution networks and enhancing our after-sales service infrastructure to ensure our clients receive prompt, seamless support wherever they are located.

Q: What has been your proudest moment since starting this venture?

A: My proudest moments occur whenever I see a small business successfully launch its own production unit using our machines. Knowing that we played a role in our clients’ growth journeys and watching them achieve financial independence is immensely satisfying. Additionally, receiving repeat orders is a tremendous point of pride for our team. It is the ultimate validation of their trust in our quality, service, and support, and it constantly motivates us to raise our standards.

Q: What has been the most challenging phase in your entrepreneurial journey?

A: The most challenging phase was undoubtedly the initial stage of this current venture—breaking into the market, proving the reliability of our machines, and building foundational trust with our first customers. As the company began to grow, balancing resource management with the need to maintain uncompromising quality required a great deal of perseverance, dedication, and careful planning.

Q: What advice would you give someone starting out?

A: Stay intensely focused, practice patience, and never stop learning. It is critical to understand your target market inside and out. Always prioritize product quality and customer satisfaction over quick profits. Entrepreneurship is a marathon, not a sprint, and consistent hard work is the true key to long-term success.

Q: Which of your leadership traits are key to your success?

A: I attribute my success as a leader primarily to adaptability, a relentless commitment to quality, and strong problem-solving skills. I also place a high value on clear, transparent communication. I am a firm believer in the power of teamwork, and I view it as my responsibility to continuously motivate my team, ensuring they have the support they need to perform at their absolute best.
