The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Thursday opened on a highere note during the morning session of the trade.

The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 25,187.66 points touched a high of 25,236.59 points and a low of 25,173.59 points.

On Wednesday the sensex closed at 25,101.73 points.

The Sensex is trading at 25,218.14 points, up by 116.63 points or 0.46 percent.

On the other hand, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 7,731 points after closing at 7,706.55 points.

The Nifty is trading at 7,740.60 points in the morning.
