Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched the "Digital India Week" as part of the larger initiative to empower the people and extend services better with the use of information technology and its tools.

The prime minister also unveiled a logo for Digital India, an umbrella programme that seeks to transform India into a digitally-empowered, knowledge economy with a host of initiatives for a synchronized and coordinated engagement of the government and its agencies.

Foer this scheme, the prime minister has already been named chairman of a high-powered monitoring committee and all existing and ongoing e-governance initiatives will be revamped to align them with the larger principles of "Digital India", according to an official statement.

The larger goal of Digital India includes broadband connectivity in all panchayats, Wi-fi in all the schools and universities and public wi-fi hotspots in all important cities by 2019. It will be deployed in delivering services in areas like health, education, agriculture and banking.

The vision is centred on three key areas:

- Digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen

- Governance and service on Demand

- Digital empowerment of Citizens

Launching Skill India Compaign on July,15
P.S.Biradar | Wed Jul 15 04:44:14 2015
Sir, You are launching this scheme to help the skilled people in our Country. Who is going to identify the skilled people. Our Govt.Authorities. Even for identifying, they will take money. You are going to distribute Rs.5000/- to Rs.1.5 lakh to 34 Lakh people in coming 5 years. Your all schemes are very good. But they will not be implemented. I know, you are going to deposit this amount directly to their accounts. To certify as a Skilled one, they have to give money. After this only, they will get this money. During this process, they are going to loose 25 to 30% of loan amount. Even today surveyed so many villages and found that they have taken loan for digging wells in their fields. In practical, they have not diggeed well. Whenever our Govt.Authorities come for inspection, they bribed and send them. They give the report accordingly to the Govt. We are wasting our money. Like this our economy will never grows. So, request you to concentrate on Agriculture, Irrigation, Roads, SMEs by extending them all facilities. Even here also, concerned people will give money for getting facilities. So, request you to try to remove corruption. It is every where. Even to get admission in School colleges, people have to bribe the concerned authorities. So, in my opinion, don't extend any loan facilities individually. Otherewise, our economy will never grows. As you are aware, day by day our export business reduced like anything compare to previous years.
