For the first time ten different ministries of central government have joined hands to support the micro, small and medium enterprise sector of country at the Mega MSME Event - 2nd 'INDIA MSME EXPO AND SUMMIT 2015' held in New Delhi.

MSME Development Forum in association with Ministry of MSME and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) has organized the 2nd 'INDIA MSME EXPO AND SUMMIT 2015' from August 28 to 30, 2015 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

Rajnish Goenka, Chairman, MSME Development Forum, Member National Board, Ministry of MSMEs, Government of India said, "It is India's first integrated platform for MSMEs & all the stake holders, particularly Ministries, PSUs, Banks/investors, Corporates, Service Support Providers, Chambers, Associations etc. to connect & network under one roof and share information & knowledge for mutual business endorsement and discovering solutions for their relevant challenges."

It is for the first time that ten ministries have joined hands to support the Mega MSME Event. The Mega Event is being supported by the Ministries of MSME, Textile, Civil Aviation, Tourism, Railways, Defence, Science & Technology, Ministry of DoNER, Communication & IT, Women & Child Development, Government of India and by few other Ministries/ Govt. Departments, apart from support of PHD Chamber/Trade Associations, Media and Trade Journals.

The three days event had more than 150 Exhibitors and is expected to have more than 10000 visitors from Central & State PSUs, Banks, Corporates, MNC, MSME, Service Providers, Innovators, prospective entrepreneurs and self-employed including thousands of other Industry, Business  & General visitors.

Concurrent Summits had five knowledge sessions with Union Ministers, Secretaries, Bankers, Corporates, Policy makers & experts on different subjects, covering various issues related to MSME sector and initiatives being taken by the government for promotion of this vital sector which is the back bone of Indian Economy. This will open the doors for start ups and existing entrepreneurs to have access to new business proposals/ideas, new markets, easy finance, new technologies & services support for their revival & growth and ease of doing business in India.

The Chairman, Rajnish Goenka further added, "Events like these are beneficial for the MSME sector, Start-up Entrepreneurs, Innovators and Service Support Providers. This event further laid the foundation for making Entrepreneurial and Skilled India, transforming job seekers to job creators, creating  AGRI-preneurs for rural transformation, empowering youth, women, OBC/ST/SC, entrepreneurs."

"The MSME Sector has 94 percent tiny, micro and small units most of which are not registered and hence are unable to take the benefits of various Government schemes and promotions. Approximately 1.5 Cr. youths (age group 18-25 years) enter the work force every year, compared to around 40 lakhs jobs per year, leaving a huge gap in demand and supply which can only be met by promotion of MSME Sector. By the next elections in 2019, approximately 18 Cr. new voters will be added and will be in a position to influence the formation of the next Government. Hence this sector is also politically very sensitive. "

MSME Development Forum is a non-profit and non-political organisation, working with the objective to revive & accelerate the growth of MSME Sector, particularly LAGHU UDHYAMIs. The forum is founded by Rajnish Goenka, Member National Board, Ministry of MSME, National Convener of BJP Micro and Small Industries Cell (2014) and CMD of TOBU Cycles Group.

He has vast experience and knowledge of the MSME sector and is committed to the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi's mission of 'Make in India', 'Skill India' & 'Making India World's Manufacturing Hub', which is only possible through the growth of MSME Sector. The forum's Advisory Board comprises of various MPs, former Bureaucrats, Bankers, Corporate Professionals & experts.
