The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) set up 11 Training-cum-Incubation Centres across the country in the financial year 2011-12.

NSIC,  a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises has set up these centres to help those who want to become entrepreneurs with training, according to official data released Tuesday.

Among the of total 11 Training-cum-Incubation Centres, 5 were set up in Uttar Pradesh during the period, with which the number of total such centres in the state reached to 20.

Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, and Tripura got one such centre each during the period.

In the previous fiscal, only 2 such centres were set up while the total number of them set up since 2008-09 is 45.

In 2009-10, 12 Training-cum-Incubation Centres were set up by NSIC in different parts of the country, according the data released by the MSME Ministry.
